Gavin Gayagoy
Multidisciplinary artist and designer who explores new media art forms. Of Filipino heritage, raised in the UK, his work investigates our relationship with new technology and the internet; and how, as a medium or material, it can be used to reflect on itself, questioning the authenticity of our digital lives.
A first-class Fine Art BA graduate from Newcastle University, where he received the Hatton Final Year Achievement Prize for Outstanding Exhibition in his degree show.

In 2024, he was selected for FACT’s Digital Artist Residencies programme, produced in partnership with Lucid Games. There he debuted doomscroll_1 in Art Plays Games, followed by a developmental duo exhibition at FACT expanding on the installation.

Alongside his practice, he has diversified his skills into filmmaking and 3D art and animation, working on music videos and design projects with emerging collectives, musicians and artists across the North East.
